The challenge
The request made by Berry Global was simple yet challenging. Their production plant, located in Bailleul, France, was using an obsolete winder acquired in the 1970s whose safety measures were not aligned to current regulations. In addition, the machinery didn’t respect the internal “No Touch” Berry politics, which provides that all moving parts, for safety, must not be accessible to the operator...
