On January 25, in the presence of the Commissioner of the province of Lucca Dr. Alessandra Faranda Cordella, a protocol of understanding was signed between the Director of the Postal and Communications Police Department for Tuscany, Dr. Alessandra Belardini, and Dr. Mauro Celli, shareholder of the A. Celli Group.

The protocol aims to share and analyze information capable of preventing and countering attacks or damage to A.Celli's IT infrastructures.

Thanks to this agreement, the Postal and Communications Police for Tuscany and the A.Celli Group will collaborate not only in the exchange of information, but also in the sending of reciprocal and timely reports in order to deal with emergency situations that may create threats, vulnerabilities or incidents capable of damaging the regularity of telecommunication services. This will be complemented by the organization of training sessions with the aim of improving the tools for fighting cybercrime.

“Cyber space is a territory full of opportunities, but not free from pitfalls "- highlighted the Commissioner of Lucca -" The forms of collaboration between public and private represent fundamental tools for the creation of an effective security system, capable of promoting also reciprocal exchanges of information and, consequently, a continuous updating of security levels. We start from an important industry in the paper sector, a fundamental district also at European level, but the goal is to extend this opportunity to protect data to all companies in the province.”

"More and more often, leading companies are prey to cyber criminals and it is difficult to intervene in time without the necessary and timely sharing of best practices that allow, with a view to enhancing public and private partnerships, to pay the utmost attention to IT security and to the ever-expanding digital defences. Precisely for this reason, signing agreements like this must be an example in order to strengthen collaboration relationships with the Communications Police”, said Dr. Belardini.

"The commitment of A.Celli Group (and in particular of Extreme Automation, the business unit specializing in Industry 4.0 Solutions for the digitalization of industrial processes, ed)." - declared Mauro Celli, shareholder of the A.Celli Group. - "is to collaborate with the specialists of the Postal Police by sharing the know-how, experience and data protection logics tested both in the company and on the production plants to protect our customers. Defending the information assets from the dangers of cybercrime is a priority and being able to contribute to the achievement of this goal, thanks to the collaboration with the Postal Police, is a source of great pride for us.
