As part of Alkim Kağıt latest investment to extend the range of paper grades and achieve the highest product quality standards, A.Celli will provide an ÆGO™ SIZER Film Size Press.
The Film Size Press will be designed to process special papers at a maximum speed of 1150 m/min and to apply starch on various paper grades, from 80 gsm copy paper up to 350 gsm Bristol paper. The unit will also feature a fully automatic threading system equipped with tail cutter, tail shooter, vacuum belt and air turn.
With this project, which sees the implementation of PMT’s best technologies, Alkim Kağıt is confirming the willingness to continue the long and fruitful cooperation previously established with PMT engineers, while A.Celli takes a further step to consolidate its presence in the Turkish market as a supplier of paper machine technological solutions for all paper grades.

ALKIM – COMPANY PROFILE
Alkim was established in Istanbul in 1948 under the name Alkali Mining and started its operation in mining and chemistry sectors. The company, which served the paper industry for many years by selling sodium sulfate, established a printing and coated paper plant in 1996 in Kemalpaşa, Izmir, taking into account the increasing paper deficit. The facility started production in 1998 with a capacity of 55,000 tons/year. Nowadays Alkim Kagit (Alkim Paper) produces woodfree offset, special papers, copy paper and office papers.
