A.Celli Paper a winner at the 8th edition of the China Awards 2013

Last November, Milan’s Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia “Leonardo da Vinci” hosted the eighth edition of the China Awards, event organized by the Italy China Foundation and by MF/Milano Finanza under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of the Environment and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China and with the precious collaboration of Air France, Intesa Sanpaolo, HSBC, Prysmian and the Italian Strategic Fund (FSI).The event saw awards being given to Italian companies that were best able to seize the opportunities offered by the Chinese market and Chinese multinationals that have invested in our country even in a time of crisis like the one we are currently experiencing, thus giving visibility to different success stories that the public may not be particularly acquainted with.

This year, 32 recipients received the coveted awards before an audience comprised of 250 entrepreneurs and some guests of honor. Among them 30 companies, 27 of which Italian and 3 Chinese.

The China Awards span seven broad categories: Creators of Value, Top Investor in Italy and Top Investor in China, Capital Elite, Golden Lion, Corporate Social Responsibility and Excellence Italy.

The delivery ceremony of the China Awards 2013 was held during a charity dinner at the Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia “Leonardo da Vinci”, and proceeds will go to the LifeLine Express1 project. A.Celli Paper received an award that was accepted by CEO Giuseppe Antonini, in the category ‘Creators of Value’.

Through farsighted capillary corporate activities, A.Celli Paper has for several years now been pursuing optimal institutional and commercial relations with China, becoming the leading reference producer for many important Chinese customers. Presently, China can be retained A.Celli Paper’s first worldwide commercial partner. Focusing on the network and on good relationships was the essential ingredient to understand the needs and characteristics of the Chinese market. Of course, a very high level of technology and a constant presence on-site completed A.CelliPaper’s commercial strategy in China. Today, in Shanghai, A.CelliPaper has its own facilities with highly specialized local personnel ready to face challenges and ensure long-lasting development for their company.

1LifeLine Express is a mobile hospital eye-train that travels through the most remote regions of China to cure cataracts, a condition that affects over 400,000 people each year, among whom many children. The President of Lifeline Express, Nellie Fong, was connected directly from China. During the 6 years in which the Italy China Foundation and the Class Editori Group have destined the proceeds of the China Awards to Lifeline Express, the funds collected have allowed 291 people to be operated on, re-acquiring sight and returning to lead a normal life. In the course of these years, the number of Lifeline Express hospital-trains has increased from 1 to 4, also creating permanent training centers where foreign doctors and medical staff train local personnel.
