A.Celli upgrades Shalag’s ATB spooling line

news | Riccardo Orsi, 15 January 2026

A.Celli and Shalag continue their partnership with the upgrade of a spooling line to improve both performance and safety.

The collaboration between A.Celli and Shalag dates back to 2014, with the supply of the first spooling line. Since then, the bond has progressively strenghtened over the years through additional spooling and nonwoven lamination lines. This long-standing relationship is now continuing with a new project involving the upgrade of a spooling line.

The equipment, dedicated to processing Air-Through Bonded nonwoven, required an increase in performance and enhanced safety standards. The main modifications include layout upgrade, the implementation of a new software package with advanced control features, and the updating of safety devices. Once completed, the upgraded line will be installed at the Shalag facility, with commissioning planned for Summer 2026.

Mr. Davide Giaccherini, Plant Manager at Shalag, comments: “This project aligns with our goal of maintaining and improving our production assets. A.Celli supported us with a comprehensive and well-coordinated approach: we’ve always appreciated their professionalism and solutions provided since our first project together.”
