What role do you currently hold in the company?
I currently hold the position of Sales Engineer in the Customer Service office: this is the result of my career at A.Celli, which began in 2005 with the role of mechanical technician.
After years of business trips all over the world for the assembly and commissioning of tissue machines and rewinders for paper and tissue, I reached a good level of technical experience and relationship with customers.
This is why the company, in 2018, gave me the opportunity to join the Customer Service department, giving me the role of "technical salesman" for the development of proposals, investigations for future improvements and machinery rebuildings in the paper and tissue industries. My role also includes the commercial activity of researching potential new customers.
Do you have a work story to tell?
I started my career in sales a few years ago. Up to that moment, I had been in contact with customers from all over the world only as a technician.
An Asian customer requested our intervention to increase the efficiency of its plant, providing for a rebuilding of a part of the machine, and I was in charge of following the entire project.
The fact of having to relate to the customer also from a commercial point of view intimidated me a little. With the support of my colleagues and several visits from both sides, at the end of the negotiation the customer was convinced that A.Celli solution was the ideal one and signed the order.
This first success was a source of pride for me and strengthened my self-confidence, confirming that the work of a good team always gives excellent results.
